Technological breakthrough, research and development of supercritical foaming process

Recently, Shantou High tech Zone Aoxingguang Communication Equipment Co., Ltd. achieved a major technological breakthrough and successfully developed a supercritical foaming process for feeder insulation material polytetrafluoroethylene.


Supercritical foaming technology replaces organic foaming agents with supercritical carbon dioxide and nitrogen gas, and blends the fluid into polytetrafluoroethylene under specific temperature and pressure conditions. After pressure and temperature changes, a uniform microporous structure is formed, reducing the equivalent dielectric constant and density of the material. This not only reduces signal transmission loss, but also reduces cable weight and improves flexibility. Aoxing Company has overcome process difficulties and achieved technological implementation by introducing supercritical fluid injection and precise temperature and pressure control systems.


With the development of 5G and 6G communication technologies, the demand for high-frequency and low loss RF cables has surged. PTFE supercritical foam cables will be widely used in base station construction and equipment connection, and also have great potential for development in aerospace, military and other fields, which is expected to promote product upgrades in multiple fields.
